Autelec Technology, sponsor of the International Short Story Prize
about Olive Groves, Olive Oil, and Olive Oil Tourism
Autelec Tecnología has joined as a sponsoring company of the International Short Story Award on Olive Groves, Olive Oil and Oleotourism, a cultural competition organized by the Másquecuentos Cultural Association and convened by Ferias Jaén, which has become an international benchmark in promoting the culture of olive groves and olive oil.
This initiative, now in its eighth edition in 2025, brings together literature, territory, and the agri-food sector, and has a strong international reach. In the current edition, more than 420 stories from 21 countries and 40 Spanish provinces have been submitted, setting a new participation record.
Autelec Tecnología’s participation as a sponsor reflects its firm commitment to the olive oil sector, in which the company has been operating for years through the design and manufacture of equipment and machinery for the agri-food industry, with recognized specialization in the olive oil field.
According to its Managing Director, Vicente Carot, supporting this competition “reflects Autelec’s commitment to a sector in which we enjoy well-earned prestige, based on the quality, innovation, and reliability of our equipment.” He also notes that this competition “is an excellent channel to give international visibility to a strategic sector, in which Autelec already markets its solutions in nearly twenty countries.”
The competition is supported by numerous institutions and entities linked to the cultural, academic, and agri-food fields, and is currently in the public voting phase, open until October 31, for the awarding of the two Audience Awards. This vote has already exceeded 33,000 votes, reflecting strong public interest and engagement.
In addition to these awards, the competition includes prizes in the short story and micro-story categories, as well as special recognitions linked to the promotion of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO), visual creativity, and Andalusian talent.
Through this collaboration, Autelec Tecnología strengthens its involvement not only in technological innovation applied to the olive oil sector, but also in the cultural, territorial, and social promotion of olive oil, one of the major economic and heritage drivers of our region.
